As we read submissions for our “Orbit” issue, it’s natural that we judge any new piece against those from our previous issue. Vol. II: “Surface” was our strongest issue yet, and we were proud to share such a diverse collection of powerful, unique narratives in multiple and even hybrid genres. A few of those pieces, however, shined exceptionally bright, and we now recognize those works by putting them forward for consideration for several prestigious literary prizes.

Exposition Review is excited to announce the winners of Flash 405, August 2017: “Blue”! For our final 2017 round of Flash 405, guest judges David Lott and Michele Raphael, co-founders and editors of Angels Flight • literary west, called for works that would “take us into who and what we are and what we will become.”

As any writer knows, one of the best ways to ensure your work gets published is to submit it to the right publication. That means doing your research: checking out who and what a journal publishes, reading past issues, and making sure your work is a fit (or writing something new to fit the spirit of their publication).

Call for Submissions for Volume III: “Orbit”

Exposition Review is excited to announce that we’ll be opening submissions for our 2018 issue this Friday, September 15!

We accept fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and scripts for stage & screen, as well as visual art & comics. We also welcome experimental works and love hybrid forms! Submissions will be open through December 15, 2017.

The theme for this year is “Orbit.”
