Exposition Review is thrilled to announce that Vol III: “Orbit” is officially live! After months of reviewing work across genres and our readers staying up long hours and editors passionately debating the merits of their favorites, we narrowed down our final pieces into this year’s annual issue. It’s full of some of the best work we’ve been able to publish.

It’s the end of the year, and we know all that extra money you’ve made from your hundreds of publications in lit journals is burning a hole in your pocket. We have just the place for you to spend it. Pay it forward by giving to these awesome Los Angeles literary nonprofits, just in time for #GivingTuesday.
As we read submissions for our “Orbit” issue, it’s natural that we judge any new piece against those from our previous issue. Vol. II: “Surface” was our strongest issue yet, and we were proud to share such a diverse collection of powerful, unique narratives in multiple and even hybrid genres. A few of those pieces, however, shined exceptionally bright, and we now recognize those works by putting them forward for consideration for several prestigious literary prizes.
Exposition Review is excited to announce that we’ll be opening submissions for our 2018 issue this Friday, September 15!
We accept fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and scripts for stage & screen, as well as visual art & comics. We also welcome experimental works and love hybrid forms! Submissions will be open through December 15, 2017.
The theme for this year is “Orbit.”

On August 26, we had the pleasure of debuting several new short plays for another #ExpoPresents event, our 2017 Short Play Series. We once again packed the house at the Chromolume Theater in Los Angeles for a special, one-night-only performance of four plays that originally appeared in our 2017 issue, Vol. II” Surface,” and our 2016 Flash 405 contest.
Here it is, folks, your last chance to enter your short form writing in our multi-genre Flash 405 writing contest until 2018! Offering you a chance to win cash prizes and online publication, we’ll be accepting entries in fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and stage & screen for our next round from August 4–September 5, 2017, via Submittable.
