Call for Submissions for Volume IV: “Wonder”

Exposition Review is excited to announce the theme for our fourth annual issue: Wonder.

Submissions will be open from September 15 – December 15, 2018. We accept work in all forms: fiction, nonfiction, poetry, scripts for stage & screen, experimental narratives, visual art, and comics.

We all experience wonder in our lives. Wondering is human; it’s the desire to know, the curiosity to question, and the ability to dream. Wonder is what we feel when we encounter the beautiful, the unexpected, the unfamiliar, or inexplicable. There are infinite possibilities, and we can’t wait to discover each and every one of your interpretations for Vol. IV: “Wonder.”

We invite you, with this theme, to amaze us with your words. Strike us with your visual art. Don’t be afraid to bend genre, to be unfamiliar, to turn convention on its head and into something wondrous. Bring a punch to our guts with your brevity. Leave us curious for more in the last line. Let destruction be as glamorous as creation. And finally, follow the submissions guidelines.

We are also happy to share that our entire editorial team from Vol. III will be returning for our next issue!

  1. […] It was a joy to watch the plays transform from page to play and to get insights from the four directors. We look forward to the next round of Expo Presents: Staged Reading with the Stage & Screen in Vol. IV: “Wonder.” If you want the opportunity to have your stageplay or screenplay considered, submit here. 2. […] At Expo, we don’t play favorites with genre, but we do love a good nonfiction fix.  Whether it’s memoir or personal essay, travel narratives, flash, or comics, stage or screen, we love this genre in all its forms. Read a few favorites from our editors, and then submit your own nonfiction to our 2019 annual issue, “Wonder.” […]
