Exposition Review, Vol. IX: “POP!” Launch

Exposition Review is thrilled to share our latest issue, Vol. IX: “POP!”!

“POP!” is the intersection of tradition and trend. Whether satirizing an overused metaphor in poetry or confronting violence in Gaza, these pieces are made relevant both by their immediacy and because they are rooted in the human experience. It is full of moments that will surprise you, inspire you to think outside of your bubble, or maybe even reference some of your favorite songs.

After almost a year of hard work by our editorial team and contributors, we brought the community together for an #ExpoPresents Launch Party & Reading to celebrate “POP!” This time, we discovered a new venue (and now-favorite literary hot spot), Village Well in Culver City, California.

Launch Party & Reading

On Saturday, July 20, “POP!” contributors from our Fiction, Flash Fiction, Poetry, Stage & Screen and Film sections read from and discussed their work, each with introductions by our section editors. We were delighted to welcome both of our WriteGirl contributors, Sophia Lee and Rhiann Sheffie, and to spotlight Expo’s multi-genre essence with such a diversity of genres represented. We enjoyed fresh bites and sangria from Village Well, and ended the evening with a chance for editors, contributors, and community to mix and mingle. As a first for Expo, we were delighted to share this event over Instagram Live, bring #ExpoPresents onto devices everywhere!
