Arturo Stanig is a fine art and editorial photographer based in New York and Milan working worldwide. Stanig was born in 1983 in the port city of Trieste, Italy. Stanig received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Since then he has been researching his visual language through personal projects and commissioned work in the US and Europe. He apprenticed under the iconic downtown photographer Roxanne Lowit in New York. The consistent alternation of landscapes and cultures informed his early years and continues to influence his work. Arturo’s images mix abstraction and documentarian realism. The synthesis of photographic genres comes through as associations of visual perceptions: a hermetic voyage through landscapes, concept and portraits as states of mind. Selected clients and publications include Sony Music, Dazed & Confused, Nylon Guys, Les Echos, Vice Magazine, and Grey Magazine.
