Artist’s Statement
The Celebrity Comics are inspired by a common theme that comes up in my live comedy show. For the last year, I’ve been performing a solo improvised monologue entitled “ASS” that blends clowning and traditional improv with crowd work. The shows usually ends up about a character recounting his horrible day, and in many, some negative or strange interaction with a celebrity is the catalyst for his humiliation. I originally started making the comics as a means to promote the stage show, and when they proved popular, I kept making them just for fun!
Luke Healy is a cartoonist and comedian from Dublin, Ireland. He likes hiking and brevity.
