The leaving is last, of course, what’s left
remains. A leaving is also a beginning, the place
where the thread starts its unspooling
unfurling from here to there, from you
to me, from what was to what becomes.

In five exquisite lines poet Lisa Renee spins that old cliché about one door closing and another opening with a fresh new metaphor and unfurls it, forging an indelible connection between writer and reader.
