Expo Presents: A Decade of Art
Digital Gallery
Storytelling comes in many forms. From the beginning, we have been passionate about sharing visual narratives and art alongside traditional written mediums. Now, for a limited time, you can see our published artists in one place. Explore the visual galleries from ten years and twenty-one issues of Exposition Review:
Embodying the Spirit of Expo
Since its inception, Exposition Review has published visual art, with narratives that unfold through stroke and line and color, though still, like their literary counterparts, with composition and style. In the true multi-genre spirit of Expo, the art itself is multi-genre, with pieces spanning media, including painting, photography, collage, sculpture, and more. Comics bring yet another perspective, often melding the written word and visual representations.
From covers that represent issues and their themes, to works submitted to slush by artists based in Los Angeles and across the globe, the works speak to a zeitgeist among editors, contributors, readers, and the larger creative (and not-so-creative) community. They embody the spirit of Expo: genre-bending, heartfelt, expressive, and beautiful.
“Expo Presents: A Decade of Art” curated by Luz Aguirre, Lauren Gorski, and Brianna J.L. Smyk.
Thank you to Literati for hosting our in-person event and to our donors and contributors who made this exhibition possible.
