Call for Submissions for Volume III: “Orbit”

Exposition Review is excited to announce that we’ll be opening submissions for our 2018 issue this Friday, September 15!

We accept fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and scripts for stage & screen, as well as visual art & comics. We also welcome experimental works and love hybrid forms! Submissions will be open through December 15, 2017.

The theme for this year is “Orbit.”

When we set out to publish Exposition Review’s “IX Lives” issue, our first online issue, we knew there was a world of opportunity before us. As our journal evolved, we leaned into the digital space and opened up to new ways of sharing narratives—such as Claudia Rankine and John Lucas’s incredibly powerful and timely “Situation 6” Video Essay.

Exposition Review Presents: A Staged Reading, Waiting For Next

Exposition Review has always been a multi-genre journal, publishing prose, poetry, and stage & screen. Yet we’ve always been aware that for the latter category, the plays we publish are not in their final form: they are meant to be performed in front of an audience. That’s why Exposition Review is so excited to announce that we’ll be helping one of our plays transcend the page!

Jeffrey Lo’s Where You’re From first appeared as a short play in Vol. I: IX Lives; now, it’ll be performed as a staged reading of a full play, Waiting For Next, at the Chromolume Theatre!
